Tom is a partner in our IT/IP team. His primary focus is on
the protection and exploitation of intellectual property, particularly
in the area of technology transfer. He also is the focus for
the provision of IT advice to both suppliers and users of information
technology equipment and services. Tom has played a leading role in: taking technology companies
from start-up to investment/trade sale/IPO , selling a royalty
stream under a cancer patent for £8m, creating e-learning
courses and a virtual campus for a University, transferring a
world leading research team between institutions with all of
their IP and grant funding, and setting up international licensing
and distribution arrangements for a telecommunications equipment
supplier
