Michael Lawrence
Partner
Michael is a partner in our property disputes team. He advises on disputes relating to both freehold and leasehold property, with a particular emphasis on development and contract related property disputes. This can range from initial troubleshooting advice aimed at avoiding a dispute arising, through to mediation and formal court action.
He is also regularly instructed in relation to property related professional negligence claims against solicitors and surveyors.
Recent cases on which Michael has advised include acting for a large developer in relation to the enforcement of a conditional contract for the acquisition of a major development site; acting for a national house builder in relation to a professional negligence action against its former solicitors; representing a university client in a substantial rent review dispute; and representing a government body in a dispute concerning the renewal provisions in a lease of high profile city centre office accommodation.
