law firm continues to nurture home-grown talent
January 2007
Birmingham and London law firm, Martineau Johnson is continuing to nurture home-grown talent by promoting five of its solicitors to associate status.
The promotions are testament to the firm’s sustained training programme and emphasis on providing first class resources and support to allow employees to rise up the ranks.
The five appointments include Hanna Ihsan in the employment and pensions team, Mark Jones in property, Andrew Holden and Pia Brosinovich in commercial disputes management and Liz Deacon from the energy team.
Bill Barker, managing partner at Martineau Johnson says that the firm has seen an increase in employee retention as it strives to continue to provide substantial training facilities for its workforce.
“During the past couple of years we have been consolidating our strengths and improving our reputation on the national and international arena.
“In order to do this we have invested in an internal development programme that utilises the expertise within the firm, but also gives employees access to external resources to support their career progression.
“These new appointments are testament to our commitment to nurture up-and-coming talent across all departments and underlines the breadth of our expertise,” said Bill.
The appointments come after Martineau Johnson’s recent announcement of plans to move its London office to new open-plan, state-of-the-art premises following the success of its move to Colmore Square in Birmingham over two years ago.
“We have seen a dramatic increase in employee moral and team work over the past two years, which has helped to improve our client services and develop new business through cross-selling our various department expertise to potential and existing clients.
“The decision to move the London office to new premises will fulfil our long-term expansion plans in the City and to develop a culture that mirrors the Birmingham office,” added Bill.
