and telecommunications sectors, both

arbitrations, including one of the first arbitrations under
the auspices
of the electricity arbitration association.

involved in both contractual and tort based disputes, including
major engineering
and civil engineering based claims. We also provide contentious
and non contentious advice upon disputes arising out of commercial
contracts and joint venture projects

debt recovery - we have a dedicated team
who are experienced in acting for clients in the sector in
the
recovery
of high volume as well as high value individual debts. Recently
we have received instructions from Npower Direct and the
receivers of Independent Energy to recover debts from both
commercial
and domestic customers

claimants and defendants in high profile Judicial Review
proceedings, including challenges to the decisions of regulatory
bodies
and authorities

prosecution - we advise and assist utility
sector clients on development and implementation of strategies
to use
their statutory powers to bring prosecutions under environmental
legislation

environmental - we deal with all aspects
of environmental work, both contentious and non contententious,
under environmental
and health and safety legislation, and have particular expertise
