Our team includes amongst its specialists a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, members of the Chartered Insurers Institute and the Institute of Credit Management and an accredited mediator. We work in the following areas:

  • commercial disputes - we are able to offer practical and incisive solutions to disputes which always reflect the commercial needs of the client. By applying our skills across a whole range of business sectors, our experience includes managing disputes in the following specialist areas: contractual disputes arising out of the supply of goods and services; product liability; claims for negligence and, in particular, professional negligence and corporate fraud

  • construction and engineering - advising all parties on the drafting of and disputes concerning contract documentation, performance bonds, guarantees, collateral warranties and project management agreements

  • corporate and recovery services - recovering debts and enforcing securities; handling mortgage repossessions, retention of title claims, directors' disqualification claims, preferences and undervalues; corporate and individual voluntary arrangements, administrative receiverships, liquidations and bankruptcies

  • debt recovery - acting for individuals, companies and institutions with the help of a fully computerised service which can be tailored to specific needs

  • property disputes management - dealing with high quality litigation and advising on all manner of disputes concerning property, but principally commercial landlord and tenant matters including all aspects of lease renewals under 1954 Act, boundary disputes, claims concerning rights of way and restrictive covenants, dilapidations and disrepair claims

  • liquor licensing - acting for management companies and educational establishments; specialisations include interim authorities, protection orders and transfer hearings, children's certificates, supper hours certificates, gaming permits, club registration certificates, extensions to licensing hours and the grant and renewal of Public Entertainment Licences

  • regulatory (health, safety and environmental) - acting for companies and public sector bodies providing commercial advice on all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation. Specialisations include stress at work, fatal accidents, including corporate manslaughter, and waste management
